Chichen Itza

Chichen Itza was the seat of a remarkably organized civilization of hundreds of thousands who tamed the jungles and built magnificent cities and religious centers under kings. It flourished for more than 1000 years, only to be abandoned for reasons unknown.

	The Caracol (Snail) - Mayan Observatory where their astronomers charted the starts creating our world wide calendar.
