The Piramide Inn is 1 kilometer (about a half mile) from the Chichen Itza ruins at the entrance to the Mexican National Archaeological Zone. There is a concrete sidewalk from the Inn to the ruins. One can walk there safely day or night or take a taxi. The Inn has 47 beautifully furnished air-conditioned rooms, ample safe parking, pure water, hot showers or venetian tub baths and fire-proof walls. In the second floor lobby is a valuable archaeological gallery of antique prints of the Maya ruins before and during restoration. In the lobby are ancient maps showing the American Continent before much exploration.
We offer a large beautiful pool with waterfall. The Inn's tropical gardens are an actual unrestored Mayan Burial Tomb containing a wide variety of palms, flowering trees, fruit trees and many flowers. Satellite TV is available in the lobby and some rooms. Our indoor and outdoor dining rooms offer the finest in Maya traditional fare at very reasonable prices. Guests can walk the small city of Piste day or night without fear. It has no crime, is not a tourist trap and the Mayan residents welcome visitors and strive to be helpful. Shopping is just two blocks from the Inn. There are two churches, a modern hospital, post office and rapid taxi service. The Inn offers a dream setting for the most rewarding, pollution-free, educational or restful vacation of a lifetime.
